Babysitting

Life is good.  Yesterday while babysitting, we briefly caught up with old friends, Angel and Betty.  The photos of Chrissy (niece) and friend Betty are now ready for printing and transferring to the scrapbook.  Next on the photo list, Emily at Cosi Fan Tutte!  After that, birthdays and holidays.  The camera is being put to great use.  This weekend we are going to see Kyle and stay through Wednesday.  It should be fun.  The plan for Sunday is Half Price Books and China Inn for dinner.  Home delivery!  Way cool.  I'll post after I get back.  I won't have Internet there.  Another plan is Barnes and Noble.  We'll see how that goes.  I plan to blog Thursday after I get back.  It'll be a fun mini vacation.

CCs

We are getting ready to pay the credit card bill before going on a mini vacation to Houston.  The snag?  Figuring out what to pack!  Clothes are easy.  Entertainment is not.  The students are calm.  That means we are not taking the Nintendo DS.  We may just take the two movies and The NOOK.  Yeah, the Kindle lost the bid for purchase.  Haha!

The joy?  The credit card is paid off in full every month and the score is good.  The bill for November is for the camera, cards, and case.  No problem!  Less than 30 dollars for all of it.  Is it just me, or are low prices where you least expect them at different stores and online?  Hmmm....

Overwhelmed

Today I am overwhelmed.  LOL.  I can't decide what to pack to go see Kyle.  And The Posse wants an iTunes card which can only be purchased in stores.  Oy!  Music calms them.  Games let the brain solve life events.  Ha ha!  Lately, it's been music and movies.  And my workouts are good too.  Three minutes at least once a day on the elliptical.  Three minutes on the bike.  4 minutes of free weights.  And the CP is responding well.  Thank goodness.  Sunday through Wednesday, I won't have my computer or my workout routine.  Kyle has three days off, so we are going to hang out.  We may even go to the Mercer Arboretum and look at plants.  Who knows?

My tickets for Cosi Fan Tutte are here, and the camera is ready to go!  I can't wait to see Emily.  She's playing Fiordilligi in Cosi.  It should be a fabulous show.

I made a new iPod list.  Soundtracks.  For movies.  Broadway's a little harder to get into, as well as opera.  Most of what I want is not on iTunes.  Pfft!  Thank goodness for Half Price Books in Kyle's neck of the woods.  They have La Boheme for about six bucks.  I am also hoping to find Cosi.  Since I financially contribute to opera and go to Emily's shows, I figured why not keep the investment going?

My computer is weird today.  To start a new paragraph, I have to mouse click and then move the cursor down screen.  Oy!

Ahhh....If You Were Here....Sixteen Candles.  Dancing Barefoot...Foxfire.  Yay!

Tonight is lamb chop night for dinner.  Tomorrow, we are getting new tires on the truck.  Other than that, it's stuff done around the house.  The To Do List grows!

Relaxed Day

Today was a relaxed day.  Leftovers to feed The Posse, and then, movie time.  My students love Harry Potter.  I own all the DVDs except the last one.  They are now satisfied.  I am looking forward to tonight.  CSI NY and Blue Bloods looks like a show I can get into in honor of my insider cops.  Erin and Brandon love that.  My adult Posse members also love Pandora Internet Radio on the iPhone.  Fun.  We have a radio station for Sting and a few other artists.  More fun.  The CP is getting better too.  I changed the workout routine, courtesy of Kellie and Kerry.  This time, we warm up on the bike and then hit the elliptical with music by Lisa Marie Presley.  She's got good tunes to work out to.

I e-mailed my best friend about a DID breakthrough.  Augusten Burroughs has a blog, and I follow him.  He follows me too.  We are writers and movie buffs.  What can I say?

I am just enjoying life.  Looking back on this year so far (it's not over yet) life has been full of challenges for me and The Posse too.  Games and movies keep them active.  Zyprexa calms them.  This drug helps me avoid meltdowns.  It calms the nerve centers that typically activate with the DID.

What's next for us?  Live Opera and The Renaissance Festival if we can make it.  Yay!  Opera first, then Ren Fest.  Whee!

Health

Tonight, we have a mucus issue.  And we are out of tissues.  Grr!  We were hoping to discover things about the body.  This got in the way.  Time for Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice so we can just chill.  We have also discovered what we believe to be a divorce with our body's BFF.  The ex husband's blog is still here with old photos of her.  Yikes.  The BFF has since moved on.  Creepy to see that now, several years later.  Anyway....

We are thinking of investing in a camera.  Ren Fest and Opera events are coming up.  And we want to update the scrapbook again.  The future looks bright for the book.  We plan to add more to it as time goes on.

Busy Year

I have been busy this year! And no, not just with bill pay. LOL. I have been spending quite a bit of time with family and friends, and eating a ton while celebrating. We celebrated my younger niece's birthday this summer at a candy shop, and now, we are going to celebrate my older niece's birthday. She'll be 8. I'll be 36. Our birthdays are back to back. And we are an hour apart. Who knows what will happen this year? Last year, we met on her side of town. This year....God only knows.

I am excited. I secured tickets for Cosi Fan Tutte in Houston. My person is performing in it, and I can't wait to see her. She's also performing again in January, so that means more tickets. I really love live opera. It has such power!

Fall is here even with little rain. Texas has a drought. We shall see if we get more rain this weekend.
