I'm waiting patiently for a job to come my way. The whole week has been this way, but peaceful just the same. We leave Sunday for Arkansas, and come back Tuesday, and I'm looking forward to seeing everyone. It'll be a good visit.

The next couple of weeks will be less busy. I have the monthly tutoring meeting, and then, will wait and see how work goes before calling the surgeon back about the Baclofen Trial.

No worries, just a great time to be had. :-)

Today I priced laptop computers. For the Toshiba, about $500. For the HP, about $700. I'm going with the Toshiba, given that the reviews were better, and the price is right for me at this point. Mom said I have to get a job and save up, which is fair. I hope to get one of the two jobs I applied for, and more students with Simply Tutoring. We shall see. Other than Internet activity, I have been doing things around the house, and feel accomplished. Life is good. I also had a chance to talk to Kyle, who gave me all of the computer information to begin with. I'll call him tonight and see what he's up to.

Meanwhile...life in general is going well. Rain won't stop me from being happy. I'll post again later, and hope everyone has a good weekend! Cheers! :-)
Thursday and Friday we babysat. It wasn't too bad. The little one is well behaved, so there aren't any huge issues about behavior problems. I spent Friday faxing my resume to Crown Staffing, a temp agency in The Woodlands, that posted a Saturday receptionist position. My feeling is, if you are willing to work weekends and get paid, you're a shoe in. The job is 10-5, Saturdays only, and the main job duty is answering phones. Hello...I have a good phone voice. And I've dealt with this temp agency before, so I'm no stranger to the staff.

I also worked out next week on my calendar. Monday I get to do chores around the house, which is fine. Tuesday is my doctor's appointment, which shouldn't hold me too long. Paperwork at 11:15, see the doctor at 11:30. I plan to spend the afternoon calling back about the personal assistant job with the therapist in Spring. I'll call for an update, and see if I should send in my references. Wednesday is up in the air. Kyle has to fly to Louisiana Thursday, so we may or may not get to hang out. He has Gabe this weekend, so I probably won't hear from him till Monday or Tuesday.

Thursday through Saturday will be preparations for the Arkansas trip. We leave Sunday, September 3rd, and may come home Tuesday, after Labor Day.

Babysitting is up in the air too. Since we don't leave till Sunday, we may or may not have the little one, depending on the girls' schedules.

In the future, the following things are on my calendar:

September 10-13 Dad leaves for Chicago and Rhode Island
September 16 Meeting with the tutors for the month
September 18 Call the surgeon about setting up the Baclofen Trial

Life is going to be busy, but we'll all do well. I'm just going one day at a time. That's all you can do. :-)

Time with Kyle this weekend was fun. My meeting for work went well too. The week is shaping up nicely. I had an interview with therapist, Susan Gibler, and it went well, so all I have to do now is wait on a call back to see if I get the job. Other than that, I am suffering from insomnia. I woke at 2 AM, stayed up till 4:30, went back to sleep at 5:00, and got up at 7:00 for a glass of milk. Then, I had breakfast at 9:00. Crazy. Today I am going to put my closet together, and talk to Kyle this afternoon.

Tomorrow, we have the baby, and she'll be with us till Friday. The weekend should go well too.

Next week will be good with my appointment Tuesday, and hang out time with Kyle Wednesday.

I just hope I can catch up on sleep this weekend. Insomnia is no fun.

Today and Saturday are going to go well. We babysit today until this evening. No surprises there. Then, after my meeting Saturday, I'm hooking up with Kyle to have coffee at Gloria Jean's, and lunch at PF Chang's. It should all go very well. I haven't seen Kyle in quite awhile, but since we both left college, things have changed for us both. It'll be good to catch up, and kick back. :-)

So far, life has presented challenges that I actually handled with grace. Two guys are in the picture now, in an acquaintance sort of way, but I'm not going to move to fast. Development will happen in time, and my orientation may or may not come up right away. It just all depends.

This week has just barely begun, and we had a guy come fix our AC last night. The word, thermometer still makes me laugh. Ther-mo-meter! Ha ha! Now, all of the rooms in the house are equally cool in the Texas heat. Yay!

The rest of this week should go well, with no surprises. Saturday is the first meeting for the tutors. I can't wait. My colleagues and I all speak different languages, so it's fun to get into a conversation. So far, we have English, German, Latin, Spanish, and my personal baby, French.

Next week if we go, there will be a funeral. And the following week, I'll meet with my medication management doctor. This is the rest of the month in a nutshell, give or take more challenges. I'll post again in September, after we get back from Labor Day weekend in Arkansas. Cheers! :-)

This month and next are going to be busy but great. Next week, I have a meeting for work, followed by Galveston that Monday, August 21st. After Galveston, I have a medication management appointment to make sure we don't have any misinformation about drug interactions before and after surgery. Then, sometime in September, we'll head to Arkansas to see family. Nothing is nailed down yet, but I hope all will go well.

Edit: Galveston won't be happening this moth, and I'll update everyone on Arkansas when I hear something about that trip. Ciao!

August is off to a great start. I met with the Baclofen Pump surgeon yesterday, and my family and I walked away feeling good about what lies ahead. For now, we are waiting on insurance approval, and until then, it's life as usual around here. We may or may not go to Galveston, but that's okay. Plans are also in the works for a trip to Arkansas. Who knows what will happen? I just plan to do one thing at a time, from tutoring to travel, to this new procedure. I'm happy about today. I worked out with the therabands and watched a little bit of Kanye West on Ellen. Now, I'm thinking about lunch, the soaps, and the rest of the day. All should go well. Mom's in the yard doing her gardening, and loving it. The heat is a nusance though. More later...food is calling. :-)
