This weekend was neat. The company picnic at the zoo gets my vote for next year. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and cold treats were so good. We saw the elephants with a new baby, giraffes with babies, and lemurs. Monkeys, wild birds, and so much more. I wish I had a camera for elephant bath time and feeding, as mom and baby did both. It was so neat to see. When we got home, we rested and had zucchini pasta for dinner. Today we slept in, and are taking it easy on Sunday.

This week I don't have much going on. Monday, a flu shot, Thursday, an appointment with the MD, and Saturday, my meeting with the tutors.

The following week is the trial injection, and then, surgery should happen around November 7th. This also happens to be Election Day. I can't believe I'm doing this on Halloween and Election Day. Sigh...

What can you do but say, okay? I'm taking a hiatus from all journals until this is over. Ciao.

So far, things have been busy, but all for a good cause. This week, I'll talk to Kyle, go to Chrissy's school and lunch tomorrow with Mom, Tracy, and Chrissy. Then, Saturday, it's off to the Houston Zoo for Dad's company picnic. This is going to be fun.

Next week, Monday, I have a flu shot, Thursday I meet with Dr. Bosquez in the morning, and Annette at 3 for my PT pre trial eval. Saturday I meet with the tutors.

Notice how I have Friday and Sunday free. This gives me more time to do stuff around the house, work out, and spend time with family and friends. And we can't forget daylight savings time. Joy. On Hallowen, it'll still be dark by the time we get to the hospital at 6:30.

Looking ahead gives me a chance to really see what is coming up, and pray accordingly. God's got my back.

I'll post again Sunday to fill in the gaps of activities. Ciao!

This week has been incredibly busy with unexpected events. Chrissy broke her tibia, and will be in a cast 3 weeks. We're keeping her as long as the girls need us to.

The surgeon's office called this week to schedule me for the Baclofen Pump trial on Halloween morning. I'm ready as I can be. The rest of the month before the trial looks good. This weekend we have the church photos, and then, Thursday is the carnival at Chrissy's school. The following weekend is the trip to the zoo. Then, the week before the trial, I have my monthly appointment with Dr. Bosquez, and a meeting with the tutors that weekend. If Kyle and I don't get together, that's fine. At least I know I have support. TTFN!

This weekend rocked, literally! Dad and I met up with Chris and Robin at the John Mayer/Sheryl Crow concert Friday night, and we all had a blast. Then, Saturday, we went to Target and Sams. Target had Sheryl Crow's Best, and Billy Idol's Greatest, so I went for it. They are in my secret place until November 26th. Happy birthday to me! After picking up some other items, we headed to Sams for food. Lamb chops, etc. Yum! Today is Sunday, and the weather feels fantastic. Very fall like. This week I don't have anything on the calendar, so anything goes. I love weeks like that. :-)

The end of September and this month all have babysitting in common. For right now, I'm just thinking about upcoming events like a new tutoring meeting, the Houston zoo picnic, the visit to Chrissy's school, and seeing Dr. Bosquez while learning more about her new colleague, Barbara Hall. I'm thinking about doing art therapy too. Acrylic paints have been on my mind as a way to release the 17 entities that are within me. Kyle's on to something here. I'll see about going to a craft store to pick up some paints and an art pad. What can I say? Sybil Dorsett and I have some things in common even though our cases were different. I'm just hoping for the best this month. That's all anyone can ask of me. Do your best, and see what will come out on the other side. The surgery will happen in God's time, if it should happen. I just plan to move on, regardless.
